Rwanda name squad to face Ghana in AFCON qualifier

The Amavubi interim coach Kanyankole Gilbert Yaounde named a 26-man Amavubi team to face Ghana in the last Group H fixture of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers set for the Accra Sports Stadium on September 3.

The Black Stars are leading Group H with13 points, having already booked a place to the Africa Cup of Nations finals to be held in January 2017 in Gabon.

Amavubi Provisional Squad scheduled to join camp at La Palisse Hotel Nyandungu on Wednesday morning ahead of the training session set to begin later in the afternoon.

Goalkeepers: Ndayishimiye Eric (Rayon Sports), Ndoli Jean Claude (AS Kigali) & Hategikimana Bonheur (SC Kiyovu)

Defenders: Rusheshangoga Michel (APR Fc), Iradukunda Eric (AS Kigali), Imanishimwe Emmanuel (APR Fc), Ndayishimiye Celestin (Police Fc), Rugwiro Herve (APR Fc), Usengimana Faustin (APR Fc), Manzi Thierry (Rayon Sports) & Nsabimana Aimable (APR Fc)

Midfielders: Mugiraneza Jean Baptista (Azam Fc, Tanzania), Mukunzi Yannick (APR Fc), Niyonzima Haruna (Yanga,Tanzania), Hakizimana Muhadjiri (APR Fc), Buteera Andrew (APR Fc), Bizimana Djihad (APR Fc), Nshuti Dominique Savio (Rayon Sports), Nkizingabo Fiston (APR Fc), Habimana Yussuf (Mukura VS), Niyonzima Olivier (Rayon Sports) and Niyonzima Ally (Mukura VS).

Strikers: Twizeyimana Onesme (APR Fc), Usengimana Danny (Police Fc), Sugira Ernest (AS Vita, DR Congo) and Tuyisenge Jacques (Gor Mahia, Kenya)

The Ministry of Sports and Culture (Minispoc) named Kanyankole as a replacement for Northern Irishman Johnny McKinstry who was relieved of his duties on Thursday. Kanyankole will be assisted by Eric Nshimiyimana and Jimmy Mulisa.
