Rutsiro: Village chief commits suicide after adultery act

The corpse of Migabo Célestin who was the chief of Gisunzu village, Hanira cell; Manihira sector in Rutsiro district found swinging in bathroom after over suicide on early 18th September 2016.

Jules Niyodusenga, the secretary executive of Manihira sector said that no assumed reason behind his suicide found.

“Nothing went wrong with his attitude, besides being chief of Gisunzu village; he was innocent and exemplary person,” Niyodusenga said.

It was said that his suicide based on adultery humiliation. He had been early accused of adultery of a woman who had been home to help in millet harvesting.

“Perhaps it was due to humiliation as we had met the previous night of his death. He has got more women; the first died, he divorced with the second and he has been living with the third,” Niyodusenga explained what may be the cause.

Migabo Célestin died at 54 years old and four children from third woman who he lived together with.
